How to add an AAC Switch to Play Silly Spin Colors

Using a Switch with Silly Spin Colors

Silly Spin Colors includes a Switch Play mode, so your child can play using a simple switch instead of touching the screen.

Each press acts like a tap.

Designed to support independent play, exploration, and learning.

Before you start

Make sure you have the latest version of Silly Spin Colors installed.

Switch Play is available on iPad and Android tablets only.

Using a Bluetooth switch (like iSwitch)

Step 1: Connect your switch

Turn your switch on.

Go to Settings, then Bluetooth.
Tap your switch to connect.

If your switch was connected to another device, disconnect it first.

Step 2: Turn on Switch Play

Open Silly Spin Colors.

Tap Switch Mode, then tap Enable Switch when prompted.

Step 3: Start playing

Tap Switch Mode to begin.

Now each press of the switch will interact with the screen.

Using a wired switch (like Tapio)

Step 1: Connect your switch

Plug your interface into the iPad or tablet.
Plug your switch into the interface.

If there is a light, it’s ready.

Step 2: Turn on Switch Play

Open Silly Spin Colors.

Tap Switch Mode, then tap Enable Switch.

Step 3: Start playing

Tap Switch Mode to begin.

Now each press of the switch will interact with the screen.

Quick fix

If the switch starts scanning or stops tapping the screen, turn Switch Control OFF, then back ON again.
This usually fixes it.

Simple setup. Easy to use. Made for independent play.
